The Université d’été de Boulogne-sur-Mer offers quality stays for participants of any nationality and any age wishing to improve their knowledge of French and experience the French language and culture.

The Université d’été organises the stays from A to Z: the intensive courses, a rich programme of leisure and cultural activities, the accommodation on campus or with a host family, the meals, a main reception open 7 days a week, days and evenings. It is also a DELF examination centre in the summer period.

More generally, the Université d’été de Boulogne-sur-Mer strives to create numerous exchanges and international contacts with the local inhabitants. It is particularly attached to social interactions and friendly relations between people from all countries.

The mission of the Université d’été de Boulogne-sur-Mer is not only to teach French, but also to enable students to discover the region, the culture and traditions of the country, to put them in contact with the inhabitants.

Junior
"Specific General French programme for juniors"

Duration : 20hours / week
Level : A1- breakthrough or beginner to B2 - vantage or upper intermediate
Number of students : 15

Through a communicative and action oriented approach, the goal is to learn French in France or improve French knowledge while learning the art of French living.

20 hours per week:

  • 10 hours: French as a foreigh language courses, skill-based approach (reading and writing skills, language study,…)
  • 5 hours: priority given to oral expression (songs, role plays, theatre, diction, articulation, vocabulary,…)
  • 5 hours: priority given to writing expression with different themes (cinema, cartoons,...).

Focus is placed on oral and recreational activities.

Level : A1- breakthrough or beginner to C1- effective operational proficiency or advanced
Number of students : 15

Through a communicative and action oriented approach, the goal is to learn French in France or improve French knowledge while learning the art of French living.

20 hours per week:

  • 10 hours: French as a foreigh language courses, skill-based approach (reading and writing skills, language study,…)
  • 5 hours: priority given to oral expression (songs, role plays, theatre, diction, articulation, vocabulary,…)
  • 5 hours: priority given to writing expression with different themes (cinema, cartoons, working groups,...) and/or projects.

Transversely, we work on cultural aspects.
