" Gilles Cappadoro has been elected the new President of French language school association, Groupement FLE. Gilles has served at international language school camp, CMEF, since 1989. Appointed Summer Camp director on multiple occasions, then head of the pedagogical team and co-principal later on, he was trained by the school founder, Jean Moreau, a dear friend of Jean Cocteau, the decorator of CMEF’s magnificent, ancient Greek-style amphitheater facing the Mediterranean. Member of the Youth Club board at Atout France for several years, Gilles has played a hands-on role in the layout of marketing strategies for the club and has frequently acted as a representative for Atout France on international promotional tours. He integrated CMEF into Groupement FLE in order to partake in the association’s knowledge-sharing and promotion practices within its signature cooperative framework. Increasingly involved in the board, Gilles was nominated and elected president this June, replacing Christophe Tissot, who stepped down to pursue other professional endeavors. His objective, along with the rest of the board and coordinator Edith Dupuis, is to reinforce and develop further the quality work carried out in the areas of teacher training and the promotion of member schools.
