Presentation of the center
CIECE (Centre International d’Etudes sur le Commerce Extérieure) belongs to the Groupe ESCE which is a French Business school specialized in International Business and Management recognized by the Ministry of Education. Established in 2007 to develop Summer Programs, short-term seminar programs, and partnership Master’s programs, CIECE has never ceased to develop new programs and this year we are offering the Intensive French Language and Culture program for individuals who wish to learn the language and a training workshop for the French language professors to learn new and useful teaching tools.
Presentation of the city
Paris-La Défense: one of the largest and most important business districts in Paris and in Europe, our location allows us to be in a modern, high-tech environment at the same time have all the necessities at hands reach. Only 10 minutes away from the centre of Paris, La Défense district houses many French and International firms, a large shopping centre, restaurants, hotels, contemporary art work, and regularly hosts Jazz concerts, sports events on large screen and Christmas market. There is always some event taking place at La Défense !
Educational approach of the Center
Using a more practical approach to learning, the participants will focus more on communication skills through role plays and acting out short sketches. In addition to the in-class dialogue exercises, weekly cultural activities will also allow the participants to practice what they have learnt in class, hence, enhancing their communication skills ad assisting in retaining their knowledge. A TEF (Test d’Evaluation de Français) can also be organized through the Paris Chamber of Commerce for those who wish to take part in this test.
Presentation of services (lodging and culture)
Accommodation at a Residence proximity to the school is available upon request at an affordable cost (Studio suite with a kitchenette and an attached bathroom).
Each week, cultural visits inside or around Paris (non touristy) are organized and participants will also have the chance to taste different French gastronomy through taste test sessions.
