Presentation of the centre
At UELAS, quality of instruction and a pleasant atmosphere are key! UELAS limits its student numbers in order to be able to give every student individual attention. Classes take place in the morning and afternoons and Saturdays are for activities! You will speak and hear French from morning to night. You can count on us to help you progress!

 

Presentation of the city
Gap is a beautiful small city (population 40,000) in the heart of the French Alps. It is located at the foot of the mountains (altitude: 750 metres) and boasts nearly 300 sunny days per year! Gap is a lively city with lots of shopping, free summer entertainment and free bus service! The citizens of Gap are very kind and welcoming!Life is good in Gap!!!

Accomodation (several choices), all organized by the Director:
1/Gap’s student residence (downtown, 8 minutes from UELAS on foot) in a private or shared room + breakfast (6 days per week) + private parking 2/In one of our super host-families (half-board provided)
3/Furnished apartments for couples or families
Culture: 1/A varied program of after-class activities every week (sports, guided visits and cultural workshops).
2/Summer activities (concerts etc.) organized by the city of Gap (usually free of charge).
3/Skating rink, library and park (downtown)
4/The city bus system is completely free!
