Presentation of the center
Clé is an independent institute for French studies founded in 1985 and located in the old town section of Tours. 
Our years of teaching abroad have helped us to create a friendly school with a positive working atmosphere. Our bright and comfortable premises and dedicated staff will ensure that you study in the most favourable conditions.

 

Presentation of the city
Rich in history and art, Tours is a lively town where you will rapidly feel at ease. Only 55 minutes from Paris by TGV, Tours attracts a university population of about 30,000 students out of a population of 27,000. It is located in the Loire valley classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its beautiful countryside and its rich architectural heritage.

 

 

Educational approach of the Center
Our courses are taught by qualified teachers, specializing in the teaching of French to foreigners. Their competence and enthusiasm will make learning a pleasure. The four competencies (understanding written French, understanding spoken French, writing French and speaking French) are all taught but priority is given to speaking French.

 

Presentation of services (lodging and culture)
The ideal way to discover France and its people is to live with a local family. We know that a host family plays a very important role in making your stay a success, consequently, we very carefully select families to ensure that you have a warm welcome. If you prefer to be independent, we can book a studio apartment or a hotel room.

To accelerate your learning, there are never more than 7 students per class. Each student benefits from a caring environment which offers much individual attention. You are making the effort to come and learn our language; we try to make sure that you have the best possible stay.
