Presentation of the center
The Institut Européen de Français welcomes students, teachers or professionals of all nationalities, year-round, in a friendly and studious atmosphere . The Institut Européen de Français is situated in the heart of Montpellier’s historic pedestrian center. The school occuîes a beautifully renovated 17th century building and features bright, airy spaces. Each participant is welcomed and guided by a motivated, experienced and highly qualified team. The Institut Européen de Français organizes each participant’s entire stay: general or specific French courses, individual or group courses, wide choice of accommodation in Montpellier, program of cultural activities and excursions in the South of France for linguistic stays from a week to a year.

French courses are organized by skill level and class size is limited to facilitate learning.in bright and airy spaces assuring that each participant’s study of French will take place under the best conditions. Our pedagogical method solicits students’ active participation and promotes intercultural exchange. Instruction incorporates all linguistic activities (listening, reading, taking part in conversation, oral presentations and written expression), with concentration on the receptive skills needed to promote comprehension, and the productive skills of oral expression. With the use of various supports (from authentic documents or “realia” to educational materials), participants are granted access to the language in a manner which is both fun and practical, friendly and motivating!
